“Race of Doom” on the Seattle 1981 disc is amazing. It’s a million times better than the album version, which was always one of my least favorite studio songs. The countdown intro to “The Super Thing” gets me so pumped; I can’t imagine what it would be like to see it all go down…
Just picked up Devo: Live in Seattle
It’s pretty awesome so far. Adventures of the Smart Patrol is such a kickin’ opener, but I’m disappointed that Beautiful World isn’t on the track list. Oh, well. At least it’s got Smart Patrol/Mr.DNA and the posters are neat.
Currently sitting in my grandma’s bathroom crying because I’m so angry after listening to my grandma tell me that:
• Men are the leaders of the household and women should wait on them hand and foot no matter what.
• Every black student gets free tuition then fails out of college.
Perhaps a smart argument for euthanasia?
Old people suck.

There are few tours I’d rather go back in time and see than the Nu-Tra tour. It was ahead of its time in every way, and I still say it’s one of their best albums. Just look at Gerry go!

“I’m anticipating a matriarch system where women finally say ‘okay we’ve had enough of this shit with men in control’ and they take over. I mean, they’re smarter, they’re prettier, they live longer, they’re healthier, they don’t need men to have children anymore, they don’t really need us as beasts of burden anymore. They have machines to take care of all that and so I think men should be ready to assume their logical place on the planet, and that is as objects of pleasure for females…And I’m ready to uh..you know, to assume that position for females that understand that..I’m but here to serve.”
Reblogging this again even though I reblogged it 7 hours ago because you know what? It’s perfect and I need it on my front page again. Deal with it.
Fucking hilarious, and Mark’s face is priceless. Anybody know when this was said?
